Racing Wheels
Racing wheels are not just for aesthetics. They serve
very practical purposes for the race cars that use them. They are designed
to withstand the rigors of racing and provide the optimal amount of
performance.
Racing wheels must be lightweight, fast, and strong enough to handle
the most intense maneuvers. Most manufacturers are continually trying
to improve their designs and put their products through vigorous testing.
If you plan to race your vehicle, be sure that the wheels you use are
up to the challenge.
Racing wheels can be made from steel or an alloy composite. For the
most intense racing, steel wheels are generally preferred due to their
strength. However, most wheels used in SCCA and other amateur racing
classes use alloys.
