Black rims are becoming more and more popular with car enthusiasts. They offer a high-performance look without the flashiness that comes with chrome. Furthermore, black rims work well with colored spokes for a true custom look.

The advantage of black rims is that when combined with colored or chromed spokes, they can be dramatically more striking in appearance than a mono-chromatic design. Chrome against black, red against black, and a host of other possibilities can be used to create a one of a kind look. However, custom creations like these can sometimes be expensive.

Black rims are most often sold through aftermarket manufacturers. This means that finding a set that fits your particular tastes is much easier, as there are many more options from which to choose. However, the downside is that it might take longer to find your ideal set.
