Alloy Wheels
Alloy wheels are popular aftermarket additions to many
vehicles. They are often designed to have a more “sporty”
look than those that come with the vehicle. Furthermore, there are many
design options that simply aren’t available through the vehicle’s
manufacturer.
Alloy wheels tend to be much lighter in weight than the average steel
wheel. The lightweight nature of these wheels makes them better for
hard maneuvering and braking. The right alloys can make a sedan handle
more like a sports car.
There is a downside to alloy wheels. They tend to be more prone to
damage than are steel wheels. And in most cases, they are also much
more expensive.
